Knee pain
Knee pain can arise from the joint itself, the tendons and soft tissues around it, the nerves, or occasionally pain referred from another area. Identifying the source is important before selecting treatment.
What may be causing your knee pain?
- Knee osteoarthritis
- Meniscus or other degenerative joint changes
- Bursitis and tendon-related pain
- Persistent pain after knee replacement
- Nerve-related knee pain
- Referred pain from the hip or lumbar spine
The diagnosis picks the treatment
Nothing is treated until the source is confirmed. Treatment then comes from one or more of these categories. Which one, and whether any procedure is needed at all, is decided with you after the evaluation.
- Joint and Musculoskeletal
For when the joint itself is the source. Ultrasound- and X-ray-guided treatment for the knee, hip, and shoulder, and for the nerves around those joints.
