We welcome referrals from physicians and other healthcare providers. Our team works to make the referral process simple, communicate with your patient promptly, and keep you informed.

Offices may also send their standard referral or order and relevant records directly from their EHR. Patient identity never goes through this website; fax, email, or phone straight to the office.
Why SIPS
Physician-led. One physician, Dr. Smitherman, double board-certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, at clinics across central Mississippi.
Diagnosis first. The pain generator is identified and confirmed before any procedure is recommended.
Least invasive that fits. Image-guided, and the least invasive option that fits the diagnosis comes first.
What to send
- Patient demographics and insurance
- Referral note with the reason for referral and the working diagnosis
- Imaging reports (MRI, CT, X-ray) and where the images were done
- Current medication list
- Prior treatments, injections, and what helped
A standard referral out of your EHR is enough.
